Precisely because it is sensitive and it smells, It is the product that Karlos Arguiñano uses to prepare his hamburgers at home. but the cook mix the minced meat with an ingredient you might not have thought of: cooked rice! The reason is that the rice makes the burger even juicier.

We saw him on his Cocina Abierta project on Antena 3, and although the chef did not give many ingredients, we gave them, so you can prepare these delicious hamburgers at home.

Entrecula hamburger with spiced potatoes by Karlos Arguiñano

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of minced entrecula meat
  • 200 grams of cooked rice
  • 1 garlic
  • 3 potatoes
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard
  • some lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oregano
  • Thyme
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • 4 hamburger buns

Step by step

  1. Prepare the potatoes

    Wash them and, without peeling them, cut them in half and each half, into 4 parts. Place them in a large bowl and season with salt, oregano, thyme, onion powder and garlic powder. Drizzle them with a drizzle of olive oil, transfer to the oven plate and cook in the oven for 30 minutes at 200º.

  2. Prepare the burger mixture

    Mix the minced meat with the rice, stirring with a fork. Add salt and pepper to taste and leave.

  3. Prepare the onions

    Peel the onion, cut into julienne strips and fry in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil, until it is very tender.

  4. make the fish

    Mix the mustard and mayonnaise and spread the buns with this mixture.

  5. cooking burgers

    Make them grilled or grilled, the cooking point is up to you (but they will always have juice if you don’t cook too much). Ideally, they should be toasty on the outside but pink on the inside.

  6. Assemble the burgers

    Place a leaf of lettuce on each bun, a hamburger and a spoonful of poached onions. Add a piece of cheese, cover the burgers and serve with spiced baked potatoes.

Tips to support the Karlos Arguiñano hamburger:

  • Add some truffle flakes and a fried egg to the burger, it’s delicious.
  • You can give it more flavor with homemade red berries and sunflower seeds or pumpkin.
  • Add a piece or a few flakes of foie as a topping to the burger.
