National Cheeseburger Day: Where to get free food to celebrate

Sunday, September 18, is National Cheeseburger Day in the United States. And to celebrate, burger chains are ready with free food.

While a cheeseburger is what it is today, in the past a burger was mostly meat, buns, and other ingredients. According to National Today, it was 1926, when Lionel Sternberger invented the cheeseburger while working at his father’s sandwich restaurant, The Rite Spot, in Pasadena, California.
